New product
The Panasonic AK-UCX100 is an ultra-flexible 4K HDR studio camera head designed for seamless integration into modern broadcast infrastructures. Featuring the high-sensitivity 1" MOS sensor (shared with the AW-UE160 PTZ), it delivers 2,000 TV lines of resolution and ensures perfect color matching across hybrid camera fleets.
Its IP-native architecture allows for direct management of SMPTE ST 2110, NDI, and SRT streams straight from the camera head, offering total operational freedom without the immediate need for an external CCU. Capable of simultaneous HLG and SDR output, it is the ultimate tool for engineers building custom configurations, while maintaining 12G-SDI connectivity for traditional or legacy-hybrid workflows.
Can I use this camera body without a Camera Control Unit (CCU)?
Yes. The AK-UCX100 is designed for standalone operation. You can output 4K signals directly via 12G-SDI ports or through the built-in IP interfaces (ST 2110, NDI, SRT) located on the camera head.
What are the SFP28 advantages compared to the AK-UC4000?
Unlike the UC4000, the UCX100 natively supports ST 2110 redundancy via its dual 25Gbps SFP28 ports. It also offers higher resolution (2,000 TV lines) and a more compact form factor for tight integrations.
Is it color-compatible with the AW-UE160 PTZ cameras?
Perfectly. Since it utilizes the same 1" sensor, the colorimetry is identical. It is the preferred choice for mixing fixed positions (PTZ) and mobile positions (Studio) without complex matching in post-production.
Do you offer a Buy-Back program for the AK-UCX100?
Yes. Video Brokers provides a permanent Buy-Back guarantee on the camera body, securing your investment even if you decide to upgrade your network infrastructure later.
